NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) 2022

Pursuant to Section 72B of the Local Government Act 1993, the Tasman Council Annual General Meeting will be held at 5:30 pm on Wednesday 22 February 2023 at the Council Chambers, 1713 Main Road, Nubeena.

An Ordinary Meeting of Council will follow the Annual General Meeting.

NOTICE OF COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE 2023

Pursuant to Section 7 (2) of the Local Government (Meeting Procedures) Regulations 2015, notice is hereby given that the Ordinary Monthly Meetings of the Tasman Council to be held in 2023 will be held at the following times and locations:

Meetings held on 25 January, 22 February, 22 March, 24 May, 28 June, 26 July, 23 August, 25 October, 22 November and 13 December 2023 will be held in the Council Chambers, 1713 Main Road, Nubeena and will commence at 6:00pm.

The Meeting to be held on 22 February at 6:00  pm in the Council Chambers, 1713 Main Road, Nubeena will be preceded by the 2022 Annual General Meeting commencing at 5:30 pm.

Meeting to be held on 26 April will commence at 6:00 pm at the Eaglehawk Neck Community Hall, Arthur Highway, Eaglehawk Neck with a Community update commencing at 5:00 pm.

Meeting to be held on 27 September will commence at 6:00 pm at Tasman Community Centre (Taranna Hall), 33 Amy Street, Taranna with a Community update commencing at 5:00 pm.

Meeting to be held on 13 December commencing at 6:00 pm will be preceded by the Tasman Council Annual General Meeting 2023, commencing at 5:30 pm.

All agenda papers will be available four (4) days prior to the meeting at the Council Office and on Council’s website at: www.tasman.tas.gov.au.

Tasman Councils ordinary monthly Council meetings have been scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of every month.  All Council meetings commence at 6:00pm. All agenda papers are available four days prior to the meeting at the Council Office and on Council’s website at: www.tasman.tas.gov.au.

Tasman Council will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 13 December 2023, commencing at 6:00pm at the Council Chambers.  The Ordinary Council Meeting will follow directly after the AGM. Any date, time or location change to any council meeting will be advertised in the Mercury newspaper and in the Tasman Gazette.

Public Question Time

Members of the public may address the Council during Public Question Time.  In accordance with Regulation 31 of the Local Government (Meeting Procedures) Regulations 2015, Council will allocate a period of fifteen minutes for Public Question Time.  The intention is to provide the public with an opportunity to come and ask a question directly to Council, information provided by Council to the public is not to be debated during the meeting.

Please be aware that due to an audio equipment recording failure, Part 2 of the Audio Recording for the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on Wednesday, 22 September 2021 is not available.  To access this section of the meeting, please see the written minutes named “9 – 22 September 2021 – Confirmed Council Minutes”.  This section of the meeting is the reopening of the meeting to the public after the Closed Session of Council. The determination of the release of information from the Closed Session of Council and the closure of the meeting.
