TASMAN REGION STRUCTURE PLANS

A planning framework for the Tasman Region and its places.

The main goal of this Plan is to provide a strategic link between the state and local level planning policy and to integrate the Regional Land Use Strategies (RLUSs) that defines where development should occur including residential, commercial, industrial and community-based uses.

The Structure Plans inform the application of zoning and overlays in the Local Provisions Schedules, and the preparation of Specific Area Plans or Particular Purpose Zones where a more unique integration of use and development is required.

The Plans were based on research and community consultation as outlined in the Tasman Region Structure Plan Background Summary and Engagement Report.
