Council provides a FREE annual HARD WASTE COLLECTION to residents and ratepayers. Dates of the 2023 Hard Waste Collection will be available soon.
Hard Waste must be:
- Less than 2 metres in length
- 2 cubic meters maximum
- No heavier than 50kg
All items for collection are to be left at the front of your property, as the depot workers will be starting at 7am on the Monday morning. Any items not available for collection prior to Councils arrival will NOT be collected at a later date and property owners will be responsible for disposing the items.
Items Permitted
- Furniture and bedding including mattresses, washing machines, stoves and dryers, toys and bikes, electrical equipment, scrap metal and timber items up to 2 metres in length, tools and gardening equipment, carpets and linoleum rolled and tied with rope, kitchenware including pottery and crockery, BBQ’s, exercise equipment.
Items NOT Permitted
- Fridges and freezers, green waste, oils or liquid waste of any type including paint cans with residual liquids in them, asbestos, building materials including bricks, concrete, plasterboard, broken glass, dirt or rocks, chemical or hazardous waste, items in plastic bags including household waste, gas bottles, vehicle bodies or parts including engines, body panels, tires and batteries, ceramics including toilets and basins.
BOOKINGS ESSENTIALS
For your Hard Waste to be collected, it is ESSENTIAL that you book your collection in. Properties without a booking with NOT be collected. Dates for collections and bookings will be advertised soon.
