Dog Registration

All dogs over the age of six months must be registered with Council.  All dogs over the age of six months must also be microchipped (greyhounds registered as racing dog and working farm dogs are exempt).

Tasman Council supports a number of ways to pay your dog registration.  You may use any of the following options;

Mailing Your Payment

Please detach the payment slip from your rates notice or invoice and return it together with your cheque or money order, payable to Tasman Council, and marked ‘Not Negotiable’. 1713 Main Road, Nubeena Tas 7184.


Paying in Person at Council Offices

Rates and Charges may be paid at the Tasman Council office at 1713 Main Road, Nubeena Tas 7184, between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday, by cash, cheque of Eftpos.

BPAY Telephone and Internet Banking

Contact your participating financial institute to pay from cheque, savings and credit card account.  Please quote Biller Code 889154 and reference number located at the bottom of your Dog Registration Notice.  For more information http://www.bpay.com.au Please ensure that you use the correct payment reference so your payment is allocated to the correct account.

Pensioner Remission REQUIREMENTS

  • Evidence must be supplied for persons who intend to claim the pensioner remission.
  • Pensioner Remission is available for the registration of one (1) dog only.
  • The Pensioner Remission is not available for dogs that have been impounded by Council.
  • The Pensioner Remission is not available for new registration applications received after 1 January (ie: the registration of new puppies / transfer of dogs from other municipal areas).
